Blue Hawks place fourth at Western B Divisionals

The Thompson Falls boys basketball team may have dropped its opener at the Western B Divisional in Hamilton last week, but they battled back for a fourth-place finish.
After falling to Deer Lodge, 54-42, Thursday, the Blue Hawks edged Mission, 62-59. They then beat defending state champ Bigfork, 36-34, in the consolation semifinals.
Loyola ended the Blue Hawk’s season with a 54-44 win Saturday.
Against Deer Lodge, Sidney Akinde scored 18 points.
In the win over Mission, Akinde had 15 points, Nathan Schraeder tallied with 14 and Cody Burk scored 14 points.
Against Loyola, Akinde had 18 points. In the Bigfork game, Akinde led with 11 points.
