RATHDRUM — The Classical Christian Academy Robotics team, Centurion I-Bots, had a successful 2019-2020 tournament season receiving many awards.
The Idaho State Competition was held in Nampa February 28-29 where the I-Bots competed against 32 other teams from Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, and Montana. The I-Bots received first place for the Promote Award. The Promote Award is given to the team that is most successful in creating a compelling video message for the public, designed to change our culture and celebrate science, technology, engineering and math.
The I-Bots also placed third in Alliance and placed second for the Connect Award. The Connect Award is given to the team that most connects with their local Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math community.
This comes after a successful start to their season where they competed in the first Montana Qualifier in Butte, winning the THINK award and placing 6th the overall. They advanced to the Montana State Competition in Bozeman, competing against 33 other teams, from Montana, Wyoming, and Utah, where they placed 6th in the robot games and received many compliments from the Montana judges for their gracious professionalism.
The I-Bots share their success with their sponsors and their school, without whom none of these awards would be possible.
Classical Christian Academy is a pre-kindergarten through 12th grade school serving families in North Idaho and eastern Washington.
