NIC players earn honors

North Idaho College sophomore guard Nate Pryor was named to the Northwest Athletic Conference men’s East Region first team, the league announced on Tuesday night.

Sophomore Christian Guess was named to the second team, and Joey Naccarato, a sophomore from Coeur d’Alene High, was named to the all-defensive team.

NIC finished the season 28-1, 16-0 in conference play. The Cardinals are ineligible for postseason play due to league sanctions.

Garrett White, a sophomore from North Idaho Christian, was a first team selection for Spokane.

Halle Eborall, an NIC sophomore from Lake City, was named the women’s defensive player of the year. Sophomore Anna Schrade of NIC was a second team selection.

Lilly Kelley, a sophomore from Timberlake and guard at Treasure Valley, was named to the first team.

NIC (17-10) begins the NWAC women’s Championships today at noon against Lower Columbia (21-8) at Everett Community College.
