Milton Louis Ventress, 92 years old, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, with grace and dignity at the Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He was a longtime resident of Hayden Lake.
Milton — husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, great-great-grandpapa, and dear friend — is loved by everyone that knows him.
In his early life he worked as an auto mechanic and then opened his own garage, Accurate Motors, with his brother, Jim. Later, he went to night school to become an electrician. After graduating, he and his brother started V-2 Electric. Over the next decades, V-2 Electric grew to become a successful company where he trained many young men that carried on successful careers in the electrical business. In his later years, Milton became a lead electrical inspector for the Los Angeles Unified School District. Finally, Milton and Ellen retired to their beautiful Hayden lakefront home.
Milton was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife, Ladee Ellen Ventress; his parents Joseph Roy Ventress and Gertrude Noelie Ventress; his four brothers: Leroy Ventress, James Ventress, Ralph Ventress, and Floyd Ventress, and two grandchildren: Tyson and Tempra.
Milton is survived by his four sons: Richard (Laurie), Gary (Brenda), John (Nila) and Joe; as well as many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; best friend, Margaret Buonfiglio; and many other loved ones.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Saint Pius X Catholic Church, 625 E. Haycraft Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815, with a reception immediately following. The celebration of life will be held from 1-4 p.m. at the Hayden Lake Eagles Lodge located at 1520 W. Wyoming Ave., Hayden Lake, where he was a long-time member.
