Who is running on the May ballot?

Periodically between March 2 and March 13, the Coeur d’Alene Press will assemble the list of candidates who have filed their declarations to run for state and county seats on the May 19 primary ballot. As of March 6:

Kootenai County Commissioner, District 1

David Stewart filed his declaration to run for District 1 Commissioner.

Republican incumbent Bill Brooks filed his declaration for District 1 Commissioner.

Kootenai County Commissioner, District 2

County Commissioner Chris Fillios, a Republican, announced his intention to seek re-election as County Commissioner for District 2.

Republican Elizabeth Jacobsen filed her declaration to run as a Republican for the District 2 position.

Kootenai County Sheriff

Mike Bauer declared his candidacy for Kootenai County Sheriff. Bauer, running as an independent, will run in the General Election.

Republican Kim Edmondson has declared to run for Kootenai County Sheriff with the local elections office.

Republican Robert “Bob” Norris filed his official intention to run for Kootenain County Sheriff.

Richard “Rick” Whitehead declared his candidacy for Kootenai County Sheriff.

Kootenai County Prosecuting Attorney

Barry McHugh declared his intention to seek re-election as Kootenai County Prosecuting Attorney. The Republican, is seeking his fourth term.

Kootenai County Republican Central Committee Precinct Seats

Barry McHugh is also running for the 41st Precinct seat in the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee.

Charles Bernard announced his candidacy for the KCRCC’s Precinct 1 seat.

Scott Beckett filed his declaration to run for the Precinct 6 seat on the KCRCC.

Phillip Thompson is running for the KCRCC Precinct 11 seat.

David Kimball declared his candidacy for the KCRCC Precinct seat 25.

Arthur Macomber filed his candidacy for Precinct 44 on the KCRCC.

Jacob Garretson has declared his candidacy for Precinct 32 Committeeman for the KCRCC.

Carol Goodman declared her candidacy for the KCRCC’s 34th Precinct.

Todd Banducci declared his candidacy for Precinct 37 in the KCRCC.

Terri Seymour filed a declaration for the KCRCC’s 39th Precinct seat.

Chad Ross declared his candidacy for the KCRCC’s 62nd Precinct Committee seat.

Idaho State Rep. Ron Mendive filed his declaration for the KCRCC’s 65th Precinct seat.

State Rep. Tony Wisniewski declared his intention to run for seat 63 on the KCRCC.

Kootenai County Democratic Central Committee Precinct Seats

Evan Kock filed for the Kootenai County Democratic Central Committee’s 1 seat.

Geraldine Douglas filed her intention for the KCDCC’s open 8 seat.

Sheila Gary filed her intention to seek the 16th seat on the KCDCC.

Interim KCDCC chair Laura Tenneson has declared her intention to run for the committee’s 18th seat.

Christopher Matthews is running for the KCDCC’s 24th seat.

Ronald Johnson has filed his declaration for the KCDCC’s 31st seat.

Coralyn Alexander is running for the 36th seat on the KCDCC.

Janet Callen has filed her candidacy for the KCDCC’s 45th seat.

KCDCC vice chair Jan Studer declared her intention to run for the committee’s 50th seat.

Debbie Meltzer Brodsky announced her declaration to run for the KCDCC’s 51st slot.

Mary Foster is running for the 52nd seat on the KCDCC.

Philip Ward announced his intention to run for the KCDCC’s 54th seat.

Cindy Algeo is running for the open 55th seat on the KCDCC.

Beverly Moss will run in May for the KCDCC’s 60th seat.

Paula Marano has filed her candidacy for the KCDCC’s 62nd seat.
