Glen Edward Eich, 88, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2020, of congestive heart failure.
Glen was born on December 11, 1931, in South Dakota. In 1935 he moved to Cocolalla, Idaho, with his parents, Herman and Mable Eich and siblings, where he spent the rest of his life. He served in the U.S. Army for 1954-1956.
In 1959, he married Alice Arm-strong of Sandpoint., Idaho They had three children Dale, Glenna (Andy) and Dan. Also, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Glen worked in the woods until he lost his leg in 1963 due to a logging accident. After receiving an associated degree in diesel mechanics from Spokane Falls Community College he worked in local mills until his stroke in 1992. He continued to help Alice with her business at the View Café until he retired in 2006.
There will be no services at this time. The family suggests that donations in Glen’s name can be sent to the Cocolalla Community Hall, Box 453 Cocolalla, ID 83813.
