BONNERS FERRY— The local vocal ensemble, BOUNDLESS, are on their way back to Carnegie Hall for an April 16 performance in the legendary New York City venue.

This is the groups second invitation to perform in Carnegie Hall.

On April 22, 2018, BOUNDLESS made their first trip to Carnegie Hall to perform with “The King’s Singers,” a larger choir which is made up of members from choirs from places such as Canada, Australia, Wales, and South Africa, to name a few.

“The members of BOUNDLESS vocal ensemble have received their second invitation to perform in Carnegie Hall under the auspices of Distinguished Concerts International New York,” said Vicki Blake Thompson, Director. “On April 19 this year six singers from BOUNDLESS will perform Norwegian composer Kim Arnesen’s ‘Magnificat’ in a massed choir under the direction of conductor Dr. Anton Armstrong.”

Carnegie Hall’s mission statement is, “to present extraordinary music and musicians on the three stages of this legendary hall, to bring the transformative power of music to the widest possible audience, to provide visionary education programs, and to foster the future of music through the cultivation of new works, artists, and audiences,” according to carnegiehall.org.

“Singers to Carnegie Hall this year include Jolyn Horton, Si Thompson, Jim Thompson, Sam Richardson, Rhea Verbanic, and Vicki Blake Thompson,” said Thompson.

Bonners Ferry’s own BOUNDLESS vocal ensemble appears to fit in with the mission as “extraordinary,” given their two invitations to perform there over the last two years.
