Hayden bar shooting suspect sentenced

Scott M. White was sentenced Friday in Coeur d’Alene to 25 years to life in prison for shooting to death of Michael C. “Topher” Clark in the parking lot of a Hayden tavern.
Prosecutors asked for the 25 years to life sentence at Friday’s sentencing in First District Court while defense attorneys asked for a five year prison term.
White was accused of shooting and killing Clark - known as “Kid Cannabis.” for his role in a marijuana smuggling enterprise that was the focus of the 2014 movie - during an altercation in February 2019 altercation at the Tipsy Pine tavern.
Clark was called Topher by his friends.
White has been in jail for more than a year on $1 million bond.
