A Flathead Valley woman ended up in jail after allegedly firing a handgun during a fight with her boyfriend.

Valori Eve Vidulich, 46, is charged with one felony count of criminal endangerment after a March 7 incident at a Bigfork residence.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, at about 3:18 p.m. Saturday, March 7, a woman called authorities about a disturbance involving a weapon.

When a deputy from the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded, she told the deputy Vidulich allegedly had fired a handgun during an argument at a residence on Jewel Basin Court.

The woman said she heard a gunshot inside Vidulich’s apartment. The woman then went to the apartment and said she saw Vidulich holding a silver-colored pistol.

The woman said she told Vidulich to put the gun down and retrieved the man from the apartment. The woman said it wasn’t the first time Vidulich had pulled a gun on her or the man.

Deputies then arrested Vidulich. They said she appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the incident.

During a search, deputies found a Ruger .357 mm handgun. The pistol’s cylinder had five unfired rounds inside.

Vidulich faces a maximum term in the Montana State Prison of 10 years.

She posted $50,000 bail and was released March 10.

Her arraignment is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26.
