WSU suspends organized team activities through at least April 2
The Pac-12 Conference canceled all spring sports and championships Saturday following a meeting of conference executives and athletic directors.
The conference also announced that all organized team activities are not allowed until at least March 29, when that decision will be revisited.
The move follows Thursday’s decision by the NCAA to cancel the Division I men’s and women’s basketball tournaments as well as all remaining winter and spring championships.
In addition, Washington State announced it will also suspend organized team activities for all varsity sports through at least April 2.
Due to the rapidly changing environment surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak, WSU athletics has not made any decisions regarding organized team activities beyond April 2.
WSU was scheduled to begin spring football practices under new head coach Nick Rolovich on March 27.
WSU’s baseball team, off to a 9-7 start, includes sophomores Kyle Manzardo and Kodie Kolden of Lake City High.
