Safeway, Albertsons reserve times for at-risk shoppers

Safeway and Albertsons stores across North Idaho will reserve store hours for at-risk shoppers such as senior citizens, pregnant women or those with compromised immune systems, according to a news release.

At minimum, unless otherwise locally mandated, the following days and hours will be reserved:

• Tuesdays from 7 - 9 a.m.

• Thursdays from 7 - 9 a.m.

Safeway and Albertsons representatives ask that customers help them to reserve these shopping times for the most vulnerable members of the community.

“We thank our customers in advance for their compassion and understanding toward their neighbors and friends,” the news release said.
