HOARDERS: A salute to you

Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 6 years, 5 months AGO

I would like to thank all the hoarders and grocery stores for their bizarre actions during this coronavirus crisis. I am 75 and in the high risk category for getting the illness.

I went to Super 1 in Rathdrum to do my regular weekly shopping and was able to get about half of what was on my list. No toilet paper, paper towels, spinach, romaine lettuce, Italian sausages, etc. We were told to shelter in place because of our ages, so this was a once a week thing.

So thank you to all grocery stores who haven’t limited purchases of necessities to, at most, two per person.

Thank you to Walmart online requiring in store-only purchases for these items.

Thank you to the person on Amazon charging $426 for 10 rolls of toilet paper.

It is actions such as these that make me proud to be an American.
