GRANT COUNTY - There are now 25 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Grant County, with two new cases reported in Quincy early Monday evening, according to the Grant County Health District.
The update brings Quincy’s total to 16, making it the hardest-hit area in the county with over half of all confirmed cases located in the city and nearby areas. It was also where the first positive case was discovered a little over two weeks ago.
However, the health district cautions against believing that any community has not been touched by the virus.
“COVID-19 is in Grant County and is not limited to specific communities, work sites, or people with positive test results,” the health district wrote. “Everyone should be staying home as much as possible and only going into public when necessary.”
