BONNERS FERRY — Mountain West Bank has temporarily closed the lobbies of its offices in Bonners Ferry, as well as throughout Idaho and Washington. The precaution was taken to help slow the spread of the Coronavirus.

However, Mountain West Bank President and CEO Scott Anderson said the Mountain West’s drive-thru windows will remain open and consumer, mortgage, and business lending functions will remain available.

“We’re taking measures to help keep you healthy and safe,” said Anderson in a press release. “To help slow the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) we are temporarily closing our lobbies.

“First and foremost we care about the health and well-being of our community, customers and co-workers and are closely monitoring the health crisis with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as well as local health authorities.”

The Bonners Ferry branch of Mountain West Bank assured that the drive through will be available, and they are also available to take phone calls during this temporary closure.

“Our NetTeller and mobile banking app gives you 24/7 access to your accounts to check balances, transfer funds, pay bills and deposit checks,” said Anderson in the press release.

The press release also stated that Consumer, Mortgage, and Business Lending functions will remain available by appointment.

“For up-to-date information please visit our website regularly,” said Anderson in the press release. “We strive to meet your financial needs and provide banking and financial options during these challenging times.”
