MOSES LAKE — Grant County Economic Development Council will host a webinar on Thursday for businesses across the county seeking assistance and relief during the COVID-19 shutdown.

The hour-long webinar will begin at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, according to EDC Executive Director Brant Mayo, and will include financial information as well as the Small Business Administration, the Washington State Department of Commerce and Employment Security Department.

Information on joining the webinar can be obtained from the EDC, Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce, Quincy Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Columbia Basin Development League.

The EDC, which is working in cooperation with the Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce, has also created a single COVID-19 page linked on both organizations’ websites to be a single source for business people looking for information on the virus itself, the outbreak, and ways to get assistance.

“We’re just trying to give one point for people to come and get info,” Mayo said. “Here are the resources we have if you have any questions.”

Mayo said, however, that with the response to the COVID-19 epidemic moving quickly, there are still a lot of unknowns when it comes to aid and assistance for businesses.

“I don’t know if we will have all the answers,” Mayo said of the Thursday webinar. “These are interesting times.”
