Coldwell Banker donates $20,000 to area food banks
Coeur d’Alene - Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty will donate $20,000 to local food banks this week.
Funded by the Schneidmiller Family Foundation, the $20,000 gift will be shared by the Post Falls Food Bank, the Rathdrum Food Bank, the Coeur d’Alene Food Bank and the Shoshone County Food Bank.
“This contribution to area food banks will hopefully help mitigate a small part of the impact that faces our community and many of our most vulnerable citizens,” said broker Gary Schneidmiller. “It is clearly time for everyone to encourage public safety first as well as the challenges of taking care of neighbors and friends.”
Coldwell Banker CEO Mark Johnson agreed.
“We all need to do our part,” he said. “It is time that we help the community that has been so good to all of us.”
Johnson challenged other businesses and individuals to step up, as well, particuarly other area real estate firms and agents.
Coldwell Banker’s international real estate company began in San Francisco in 1906, rising from the ashes of a city burned to the ground. The COVID-19 crisis affects people on a much larger scale.
“Working together, we will learn a lot about ourselves and be better for the renewed importance of community that events like these engender,” Schneidmiller said.
