GRANT COUNTY - There are now 39 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Grant County, with six new cases reported Thursday evening by the Grant County Health District.

Of those new cases, two each were reported in Moses Lake, Ephrata and Quincy. One more person sickened by the virus has been hospitalized, bringing the total to four, according to the health district.

In total, there are now 22 cases in Quincy, six each in Moses Lake and Mattawa, four in Ephrata and one in Royal City.

In addition, there are currently 32 probable cases and 150 tests pending results. To date, 167 tests have come back negative.

"During our investigations with confirmed cases, we have noticed many patients started their illness with milder, less obvious symptoms of COVID-19 such as fatigue, muscle aches, stomach ache and headache," the health district wrote in a statement.

"We are asking everyone to please pay attention to any symptoms that are out of the ordinary," the statement continued. "Consider calling your healthcare provider for advice, and out of an abundance of caution, please stay home and avoid others. People can be contagious even with mild symptoms or no symptoms at all."
