So… here’s a new wrinkle in population control. Line up about a hundred seniors and disabled people in front of a grocery store around 5:30 a.m. just so they can have an hour or so of shopping, before the hoarders show up.
It’s dark and frosty outside, and those in line are wearing winter coats or have blankets around them.
The current mystery virus is respiratory, so there is a good chance some of us “old” people will end up with pneumonia, and not survive. Great call, grocers!
Why not just change the hours to start later — say 9 a.m. instead of 7? Change your closing hours and stay open later for those who feel the need to buy every roll of toilet paper, and all the bread and milk they can fit in their cars for the trip home. Good thing spring is coming!
