MOSES LAKE - Officers responded to a report of shots fired near Knolls Vista School in Moses Lake Saturday evening shortly before 7 p.m. Moses Lake Police Captain Mike Williams said officers spotted a Toyota passenger car matching the description from the initial report.

Officers stopped the vehicle on Pioneer Way in Moses Lake at 6:50 p.m., Williams said. One suspect has been taken into the custody, although Williams said he didn’t have any further information on the suspect, or how many people were in the vehicle at the time.

The suspect had a flare gun on him when he was apprehended, according to police. Officers were remained on the scene with the vehicle Saturday night while waiting for it to be impounded.
