Most developed campgrounds and certain other recreation sites on the Idaho Panhandle National Forests closed last weekend until further notice, according to the Forest Service.

A list of restricted areas can be viewed on the Panhandle National Forest website at https://www.fs.usda.gov/alerts/ipnf/alerts-notices.

In response to emergency closures nationwide in the wake of the COVID-19 situation, rental cabins will be closed until further notice. Notification to customers who have rented cabins in advance will be made as soon as possible and refunds will be processed, according to a Forest Service press release.

Reservation holders will be notified via email or cell phone text messages of any changes affecting their reservation. Spring and summer reservation holders may receive a full refund for their reservation if the closures continue.
