The Boundary County Library is working on reopening to the public by following guidelines as set forth in Gov. Brad Little’s Rebound Idaho plan.

On May 4, the library began book drop hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., available on Monday and Friday.

All library patrons who have had books and materials on loan from the library may now begin to return these items by way of the library book drop box and a new greeter protocol.

A greeter will be outside at the front door to the library to accept any DVDs and audio materials. The library administration would like patrons to deliver these types of materials to the greeter and not use the book drop box.

In order to keep up with slowing the spread of COVID-19, the library will be keeping all items in designated areas for three days before entering the items as returns.

No late fees will be assessed at this time.

The next stage of the Boundary County Library’s reopening will include book delivery.

The library has reserved two days for the book drop service. Patrons may return items on Mondays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
