A Monday morning fire in Kalispell destroyed a garage, several vehicles and caused one person to be treated for smoke inhalation.

According to South Kalispell Fire Department Chief Chris Yerkes, the call came in at 10:55 a.m. for a property in the 2000 block of Willow Glen Trail.

His department, along with Somers-Lakeside, Evergreen, West Valley and Smith Valley, responded and were able to save a home on the property.

A resident was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation but no other injuries were reported.

Yerkes said a motor home was also destroyed in the fire.

He said the cause is still being investigated, but it was possibly due to a welding accident in the garage.
