Authorities recover body of man from lake

MOSES LAKE — The Grant County Sheriff’s Office conducted a recovery operation for the body of a man believed to have drowned in Moses Lake near Blue Heron Park on Thursday morning.

First responders were called around 9:30 a.m. Thursday for the report of a man possibly drowning after falling out of his small fishing boat. The Moses Lake Fire Department and Moses Lake Police Department, Grant County Sheriff’s Office and citizens assisted in the recovery operation, according to law enforcement officials.

The sheriff’s office announced around 6:30 p.m. that the body had been recovered. The family will be notified before the man’s name is released.
