GEORGE — The George Community Hall will not hold its traditional Fourth of July celebration in the traditional way this year, due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The decision was made Monday, May 18, by the George Community Hall board.

Parts of the Fourth of July celebration at the hall and park that will not happen this year include the annual cherry pie, Cherry Bomb Run, parade, vendors, stage entertainment and games.

Still to be held will be the annual fireworks show. Residents are encouraged to watch the fireworks from their homes and vehicles.
