Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 4 years, 2 months AGO
DeLane A. (Boehm) Steiner, 56, was granted her angel wings on Oct. 27, 2020. When Dee grew her angel wings and left us, we were all very devastated and in shock. The cause of death was complications from surgery.
Dee was born March 27, 1964, in Glasgow, Montana. Dee was a radiant individual who brought joy to many. She had a fabulous smile that lit up the room everywhere she went. There were hugs and kisses — not only for her family, friends, but also for the elderly, and the many “extra sons and daughters” she acquired while her sons Casey and Chanz were growing up. There was always room for one more at the table, or one more person sleeping on the floor or couch; she always made things work the best she could. Dee was a big tease and loved to be teased right back! Dee loved camping, fishing and four-wheeling with family and friends, taking off for rides and going for a piece of pie. Dee so enjoyed snowmobiling with the Glazier family. A quote from a friend, “She was the kindest person I have ever known.” She truly had a heart of gold and one as big as the sea.
DeLane was married to Elmer Steiner of Yelm, Washington, formerly from Kalispell, for approximately 25 years. They have two sons Casey and Chanz Steiner.
DeLane, was an employee of Northwest Family Medicine, Kalispell since 2013.
DeLane returned to Kalispell in March 2013 to rekindle a relationship with her high school sweetheart Chuck Pierce, the “love of her life.” Dee always said that she and Chuck were going to be married in Las Vegas; unfortunately, her life was cut short.
DeLane is survived by her partner of seven years Charles D. Pierce, Kalispell; sons: Casey J. Steiner (Genevieve), Kalispell, and Chanz R. Steiner (Heather), Yelm, Washington; grandchildren: Angel, Eliza, Alyssa, Austin, Aaron, Keola, Kelub, Elizabeth, Koda, Elizabella, Kedon and Marley Ray; in addition to brother Greg Boehm (Chris), Anacortes, Washington; two sisters Debbie Engelhard (Dennis) Salem, Oregon, and Michele Glazier (Harold), Kalispell; brother-in-law Daniel Hodge, Rochester, Minnesota; and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph E. and Willetta A. Boehm; a sister LaDonna Hodge; as well as a nephew, plus numerous family and friends.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Johnson-Gloschat Mortuary, Kalispell.
