MOSES LAKE — The Rotary Club of Moses Lake received a $15,000 donation from Confluence Health and Wenatchee Valley Physicians’ Association to go toward the organization’s proposed plans for renovations at the Moses Lake skate park.

Gregg Fletcher, vice president at Confluence Health Moses Lake Clinic, said there is a strong community support culture at Confluence Health.

“It’s always good to support outdoor activity for youth in our region, and the organization felt like it was a worthy cause through the Rotary,” Fletcher said.

Steve Ausere, president of the Rotary Club of Moses Lake, said he was notified of the donation on Oct. 15. He said the large donation is a huge benefit toward the skate park renovations.

“It really pushes the project forward,” Ausere said. “As other members come on, it will hopefully spur other members to want to come on and donate and make this project a reality.”

Ausere said he’s excited to see funds come together for a project he hopes will be appreciated by the Moses Lake community for years to come. More than $30,000 has currently been donated toward the project.
