PRIEST RIVER — A former Priest River resident is being accused of molesting a child in 2016.

Logan Allen Morisse is charged with lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor.

Priest River Police were notified of the allegations in March, according to court documents.

The alleged victim disclosed the abuse to his mother, although a forensic interview was delayed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The boy was interviewed at the LillyBrooke Family Justice Center in May. He told investigators Morisse disrobed him and sexually assaulted him at a home on James Street, according to a probable cause affidavit.

The boy, who was 4 years old at the time of the alleged abuse said he told Morisse to stop but he wouldn't. Morisse also warned the boy not to disclose the abuse.

Morisse, a 27-year-old who lives in Spokane Valley, Wash. , indicated he had an alibi for the time in question, but declined to be interviewed and said he was getting an attorney, court records indicate.

A $10,000 warrant for Morisse's arrest was served on Friday, records show.

A preliminary hearing in the case is set for Nov. 18.
