UINCY – Firefighters with Grant County Fire District 3 put out a fire in a mobile home near the 13000 block of Road 14 Northwest, Quincy, Thursday night.

The lone occupant of the home had escaped through a bedroom window and suffered serious injuries, according to GCFD3. The injured resident was taken to Quincy Valley Medical Center by Protection One and then flown by Airlift Northwest to Harborview for treatment.

The fire district sent three structure engines, two water tenders, a tactical support unit and two command vehicles, according to Michele Talley, a firfighter and information officer with GCFD3. Aggressive efforts controlled the fire and stopped it from spreading to nearby vehicles and outbuildings, Talley stated.

Three dogs escaped the fire without harm.
