MOSES LAKE — Since many traditional classes were canceled by the pandemic, Moses Lake Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting an online video game tournament Thursday and Friday.

Contestants age eight and older will compete at Rocket League, a soccer game where an oversized ball is maneuvered into the opposing net by a number of rocket-powered race cars.

The first rounds will take place from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, and the tourney finals will start Friday at 5 p.m. and continue until a winner has been determined.

Cost for entry is $20 per person and the winner will receive a $50 Visa gift card. Registration can be completed online at mlrec.com.

A minimum of eight participants are required for the tournament to take place.
