WSU learns game dates for Pac-12 basketball games
SAN FRANCISCO — After consultation with its television partners, the Pac-12 Conference released the remaining game dates for the league's inaugural 20-game men's basketball regular season for 2020-21 on Tuesday afternoon.
At this time, only the game dates have been established with game times to follow as the conference continues to work out its television schedule. All dates are still subject to change.
After playing a pair of conference contests in early December against Oregon State (Wednesday, Dec. 2) and at Colorado (Saturday, Dec. 5), the full Pac-12 schedule will begin on the final day of 2020 for Washington State as the Cougs tip off the bulk of their conference schedule against Arizona State on Thursday, Dec. 31 at Beasley Coliseum. Arizona follows two days later on Jan. 2 as the Cougs finish off a seven game homestand.
The Cougs then hit the road or only the second time on the year, heading to California for two weeks. The road trip begins Thursday, Jan. 7 at Cal; Saturday, Jan. 9 sees the Cougs head to Stanford for a tilt with the Cardinal in Palo Alto. One week later the Cougs head to Westwood to take on the presumptive favorites for the conference title, UCLA, on Thursday, Jan. 14. WSU will face USC on Saturday, Jan. 16 at the Galen Center.
Back in Beasley, WSU will face Utah on Thursday, Jan. 21, for the one and only time in the 2020-21 regular season. WSU then hosts Colorado on Saturday, Jan. 23.
The first of two meetings with Washington is slated for Wednesday, Jan. 27.
WSU travels to Oregon on Thursday, Feb. 4 and to Oregon State on Saturday, Feb. 6.
WSU then plays host to UCLA (Thursday, Feb. 11), USC (Saturday, Feb. 13), Cal (Thursday, Feb. 18), and Stanford (Sunday, Feb. 21).
The Cougars play at Arizona on Thursday, Feb. 25 and at Arizona on Saturday, Feb. 27.
The regular season ends on Saturday, March 6 with WSU hosting Washington.
All 20 Pac-12 contests lead up to the Pac-12 Tournament which is scheduled to be played at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas from March 10-13.
Boise State announces five
men's nonconference basketball games
BOISE — Boise State's men’s basketball team will open the 2020-21 season Friday at No. 17 Houston in the first of five scheduled nonconference games. The Broncos are also set to take on Sam Houston State, BYU, Santa Clara and Loyola Marymount over the next month.
BSU will play Sam Houston State on Sunday in the Southwest Showcase at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
After jumping into Mountain West play for two home games against New Mexico (Thursday, Dec. 3 and Saturday, Dec. 5), the Broncos head back on the road to play Wednesday, Dec. 9 at BYU.
Boise State hosts Santa Clara on Tuesday, Dec. 15, and Loyola Marymount on Tuesday, Dec. 22.
Mountain West play is slated to resume for the Broncos on Thursday, Dec. 31 at San José State.
Boise State is working to add two more nonconference games to fill out a 27-game schedule, the maximum number of contests allowed this season.
Start times and viewing information will be announced at a later date.
