Boundary County School District will remain operating in category Green with additional measures in place.
The school district plans to increase custodial staffing for 10 hours every day to meet cleaning procedures; Mount Hall and Naples will be increasing part-time staff for improved cleaning.
There will be an additional nurse or certified nurse assistant to support health education and workload.
On Oct. 7th, all students will be required to provide a doctor’s note for not wearing a mask; the district currently requires masks for students, staff and teachers.
There will be changes in remote and in-person learning; remote learning students may re-enter at semester. Those attending in-person courses may enter into remote learning during the semester.
High school and middle school will hire additional teacher support to keep up with the demand for both learning paths.
According to the BCSD superintendent, Jan Bayer, “Working together and continuously practicing precautions in and out of school will help us keep our students, parents/guardians, and community healthy and safe.”
