MOSES LAKE — Three new cases of the coronavirus were reported in Adams Count on Friday. In Grant County, 15 cases were reported, including cases in Moses Lake, Quincy, Royal City and Warden.

Three new cases were reported in Othello, according to information from Adams County Health Department. Five Adams County residents with coronavirus are hospitalized. The county's total of positive cases was 883, and the total of negative tests was 3,552.

The total number of cases in Grant County since the pandemic began rose to 3,132. State officials reported Tuesday that 153 local residents have been hospitalized since the pandemic began. Fourteen people with the coronavirus are currently hospitalized, according to Grant County Health District.

The health district also on Friday reported another COVID-19-related death, that of a Moses Lake man in his 80s, bringing the total to 21.

The incidence rate of cases continues to fall, as it has steadily since mid-August, when Grant County logged nearly 600 cases per 100,000 people in the previous two weeks, one of the highest rates in the state. Since then, the incidence rate has declined to 312, with 98 of those cases — less than a third — in the last week.
