Two students at Priest River Junior High School have tested positive for COVID-19.

In an email sent to West Bonner County School District staff on Monday, Superintendent Paul Anselmo wrote that initial contact tracing was completed, and those who had close contact with the two students have been contacted.

In total, 51 people were identified and told to self-quarantine said Board Clerk Jennifer Anselmo.

Because of the high number of direct contacts identified, PRJH will be closed Tuesday for cleaning and sanitation, and resume normal operations Wednesday, Paul Anselmo wrote.

The two PRJH cases come just days after one student at Priest River Lamanna High School tested positive for COVID-19 on Sept. 30. In total, nine individuals were identified as having close contact with that student and asked to quarantine.
