Carol Gollin was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Oct. 22, 1934, to Julia and Clarence Thorsen, a Great Lakes ship captain. She passed away on Aug. 24, 2020, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

She married William (Bill) Gollin (deceased) in 1955. Son Paul (deceased) was born in 1956, Russell in 1957 and Suzanne in 1961.

Carol was active in her churches as well as hospital auxiliaries in San Diego, Carson City, and Sandpoint. She was a member of the Community Assistance League and also contributed over 200 quilts for Bonner General Health through CAL’s “Blankie Project.” She served on the grants committee several times. Carol was also involved in the Hope Community Center over the years.

In addition to her children, she is survived by her grandsons, Gregory and Daniel.

Carol and Bill moved to Las Vegas in 2018 to be near their son, Russ, and their grandsons.
