West Coast Conference sets

conference slate for 2020-21

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has announced the 2020-21 women’s basketball conference schedule. The 2020-21 season will span nearly 10 weeks, beginning on Dec. 28 and concluding on Feb. 27.

Gonzaga won 15 of the last 16 regular-season WCC titles, including the 2019-20 title, along with seven of the last 12 tournament championships.

For the fourth time in the last five seasons, Gonzaga will open conference play on the road, starting at Loyola Marymount on Dec. 28 followed by Pepperdine on Dec. 30.

The Zags then return home for a three-game homestand, opening with Saint Mary’s on Jan. 2, Pacific on Jan. 4 followed by Portland on Jan. 9. Gonzaga then travels to Santa Clara (Jan. 14) and San Francisco (Jan. 16) before returning home to close the first half of conference play against San Diego on Jan. 21 and BYU on Jan. 23.

Gonzaga opens the second half of conference play with three-straight road contests, beginning at Pacific (Jan. 28), followed by Saint Mary’s on Jan. 30 and Portland on Feb. 6. The Bulldogs then return to The Kennels to host San Francisco on Feb. 11 and Santa Clara on Feb. 13 before a road swing at BYU (Feb. 18) and San Diego (Feb. 20). Gonzaga will close the regular-season at home against Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount on Feb. 25 and 27, respectively.

The West Coast Conference Championships will follow March 4-9 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

Gonzaga's non-conference schedule will be released in the near future.
