Robison scores 3, Wildkats beat Libby 6-0

BIGFORK — Class A leading scorer Maddie Robison scored a hat trick for the Columbia Falls Wildkats in a 6-0 Northern A soccer win over the Bigfork Valkryies on Saturday, marking the end of the regular season.

Robison has 31 goals on the season, just two off from the school record of 33 set last year by Josie Windauer, now a freshman at the University of Montana.

Robison also set up three goals. Hope McAtee added a pair of goals and one assist and Cheyanne Johnston-Heinz checked in with one goal for Columbia Falls (9-2-0 overall, 6-2-0 league).

“Great team win,” Wildkats coach Thomas Clark said. We are missing a few starters and I’m just happy with how the whole team stepped up. Excited for the playoffs next week.”

The Valkyries are 4-6-1 and 2-5-1.

PLAINS — The co-ed Plains Wildhorsemen defeated the Stillwater Cougars 4-2 in MCAA play on Saturday.

Mabelle Hartman scored two goals for Stillwater (1-5-2).

“All the girls played with heart and left it all out on the field,” Stillwater coach Kristie Birkenstock said.

Scoring information for Plains was not available.

BIGFORK — Johnny Carl scored a pair of goals as the Columbia Falls Wildcats finished off the regular season with a 4-1 victory over the Bigfork Vikings in Northern A soccer.

Kai Golan contributed to the cause with a goal and an assist, as did Tyler Hull, who scored one goal for the Wildcats (9-1-1 overall, 6-1-1 league).

Ben Pilskalns scored the only Vikings (3-6-2, 3-4-1) goal.

LIBBY — Brandon Mendoza scored a hat trick for the Whitefish Bulldogs, who carried on their unbeaten streak with a 6-0 Northern A win over Libby.

Marvin Kimera assisted on Mendoza’s first goal in the 4th minute and then scored a few minutes later in the 8th minute.

The Bulldogs are 10-0-1 overall and 7-0-1 in league play.

HELENA - Ethan Jimenez scored two goals to lead Stillwater Christian past Helena Christian Friday.

Hayden Remington, Daniel Shawback, Caleb Cole-Tinkham and Micah Reeves also tallied for the Cougars (4-3). They outshot the hosts 33-3. Keeper Josh Venman earned the shutout in goal.
