BONNERS FERRY — Varsity football delivers a shutout 22-0 league win against Priest River Spartans on Friday, Oct. 9.

The Badgers started with an early game lead with two touchdowns in the first quarter, and two extra-point kicks leading to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.

Running back, Nathaniel Varelman ran in the ball for the first touchdown of the night.

The second quarter saw the Badgers make another touchdown but missed the extra point kick.

According to head coach Travis Hinthorn, Quinn Tucker made the safety tackle to score the additional two points.

The second half was a much slower pace, and either team made no touchdowns.

Both sides seemed slower and tired, but Badgers kept up a strong defense to lead to a shutout game.

The Badgers face the Timberlake Tigers in an away league match, on Friday, Oct. 16. Bonners Ferry will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record.
