COEUR d’ALENE — A judge ordered this week that a man accused of two felonies be held on $200,000 bail.

Ryan T. Anglin, 42, is charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

Police were surveilling a Coeur d’Alene apartment complex in a “high crime area” when they observed Anglin, who was known to be wanted on a felony warrant in Montana, exit the apartments, according to court documents.

In a nearby parking lot, police placed Anglin under arrest for the Montana warrant, which was for possession of dangerous drugs, according to court documents.

Anglin reportedly told police he had drugs on his person, including heroin, methamphetamine and marijuana. Police say they also found two expandable batons, a pocket knife and brass knuckles on Anglin. Two checkbooks were also found, one on Anglin and another in his vehicle, court documents said.

Upon searching Anglin’s cellphone for information about the checkbooks, police allegedly found conversations in which Anglin discussed distributing drugs.

Anglin was booked into the Kootenai County jail for possession with intention to deliver a controlled substance, as well as for the charge out of Montana.

He was previously convicted of several felonies in Washington state between 2004 and 2018, according to court documents, including taking a motor vehicle without permission, unlawful firearm possession, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of stolen property.

Community Library Network’s new policies could fracture regional library consortium

For decades, the Community Information Network has enabled libraries in North Idaho and eastern Washington to share their collections and broadened patrons’ access to materials. Now a restrictive policy for minor library cardholders in the Community Library Network, unlike any other in the library consortium, could mean that patrons across the region lose access to library materials.
