COLUMBIA BASIN — The Columbia Basin may see its first snowfall of the season as early as Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service office in Spokane, as a storm system passes through the region and temperatures continue to drop.

There is a small chance of snow, about 10 percent, Friday after 5 a.m., according to the NWS. By Friday night, those odds increase to around 30 to 40 percent, especially after sunset.

The odds of snow decrease by Saturday morning, dropping to around 20 percent before 11 a.m., with skies likely to clear up by noon.
