Regarding the article in the Bee on October 9, 2020; we understand the journalistic goal of providing the who, what, why, where, when, and how, but this article inadvertently caused some individuals to link our organization with the party that was speaking. I want to clarify that the Veterans of Foreign Wars does not endorse political parties or individuals. Our whole agenda focuses on helping veterans and our local community.

By making our venue available to different organizations and individuals our organization is able to raise funds to support needy veterans, provide scholarships to students, and support the food for children program.

I sincerely hope that you are able to somehow clarify this to your readers and restore our position in this community. If possible simply printing this letter may suffice.
