MOSES LAKE — A 25th Grant County resident has died due to complications related to a COVID-19 infection, according to a statement by Grant County Health District.

The resident, a Quincy man in his 50s, had underlying conditions that put him at higher risk of severe complications from the virus, according to the health district.

The health district expressed condolences in a statement: “On behalf of our staff, Grant County Health Officer, and Board of Health, we are so sorry for your loss.”

The deaths of two county residents were announced during the month of October. The highest number of deaths in a month was seven, announced in August, the health district noted.

The death brought the number of Quincy residents who have died due to the virus to nine, the same number as in Moses Lake.
