PONDERAY — A series of fundraisers are set for a Ponderay Police officer who was injured in a motorcycle crash near Lewiston last month.

Kickstands will be raised at 9 a.m. at the Crossroads Cafe in Athol on Saturday, Sept. 19, in honor of Sgt. Mike Victorino. Registration for the ride runs from 7-9 a.m. at 30625 Old U.S. Highway 95 in Athol.

The entry fee is $20 for motorcycles and $25 for hot rods and muscle cars, which are encouraged and welcomed.

Kickstands will raise again at Lone Wolf Harley-Davidson in the Spokane Valley. Registration runs from 9-11 a.m. Lone Wolf is located at 19011 East Cataldo Ave.

The ride ends at Curley's at Hauser Junction on Highway 53.

Participants are encouraged to bring a plush toy for donation to hospitalized children.

Donations for Victorino can also be made at Spokane Teachers Credit Union branches.

The events on Sept. 19 include a 50/50 raffle and a traditional raffle and poker hands. Raffle participants need not be present to win.

The ride and raffle are organized by Sandpoint Eagle Riders No. 598. The group can be found on Facebook or by pointing your web browser to eagleriders598.org.

Victorino, 56, was injured on Aug. 15 while riding his Harley on U.S. Highway 12 east of Lewiston.

Idaho State Police said Victorino was eastbound on the highway when he lost control and was ejected from the bike. State police said Victorino was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Victorino was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, but has since been moved closer to home to recover, according to an update on a GoFundMe.com fundraiser. The fundraiser has raised $1,925 toward its $5,000 fundraising goal.
