The Columbia Falls girls soccer team thumped Frenchtown on the road Thursday, 10-1.

Maddie Robison scored within the first minute of the game and the Kats didn’t stop, ending the first half 6-0, with freshman Josie Harris scoring the first goal of her career.

Robison made history by matching the school records for the number of goals scored in a single game, at five, as well as the number of assists in a single game, at four.

In total, she contributed to 9 out of the 10 goals scored.

“Maddie Robison was incredible; she’s showcasing a different level of quality on the field right now,” said head coach Thomas Clark.

LaKia Hill, Chayanne Johnston-Heinz and Alexis Green also scored, with Johnston-Heinz really helping to elevate the level of play, according to Clark.

“Cheyanne had one of the best games of her career yesterday. She’s a crazy athlete and she’s one of the best facilitators in the state in my opinion,” said Clark. “She just contributes in a lot of ways, whether it’s scoring directly or setting up her teammates or doing the work defensively, so she’s a critical piece to everything we do as a team and we wouldn’t be where we are without her.”

The Wildkats next face Bigfork, who’s last match was a 4-4 tie against Whitefish, which will be a different challenge for the team, said Clark.

“It’s going to be a good test for us,” he said. “They’re just a team that fights, they’re well-coached, and we’re excited to face them,” he said.

The game is home Friday at 7 p.m.
