OTHELLO — Adams County Development Council is accepting applications for emergency grants up to $10,000 each for businesses with up to 20 employees in Adams County.

Grant money can be used to assist with a variety of expenses related to the impact from COVID-19. A pool of $110,000 is available only to businesses in Adams County until funds are exhausted, and applications close by Sept. 25. To learn more and apply, visit www.growadamscounty.com.

Funding for the program is from the state’s Working Washington Small Business program and Adams County Development Council, including federal Coronavirus Assistance, Recovery and Economic Security Act funds to help with COVID-19 response and recovery efforts across Washington state.

“We are extremely pleased to have the opportunity to provide another round of funding to our most struggling businesses.” said Janis Rountree, manager of ACDC, in a press release. “The last six months has been an incredibly trying time for all of the businesses in our communities, and we are hoping that this funding is helpful.”

“The length and depth of the pandemic have hit small, main street businesses hard,” said Washington State Department of Commerce Director Lisa Brown in a press release. “In particular, restaurants, hotels and other service industries have not seen the expected number of customers. Small businesses need these resources to stay open as we respond to the public health crisis and help get people back to work.”
