POST FALLS — Sophia Allen scored two second-half goals as the Vikings beat the Trojans in an Inland Empire League match at Post Falls High.
“You could tell we were a little tired from the Lake City game, but the girls dug deep,” Coeur d’Alene coach Andy Vredenburg said. “We had trouble finishing again, but once McKenzie (Mattis) scored (to give the Vikings a 2-1 second-half lead), everything started clicking. Both of Sophia’s goals were awesome and on great plays.”

POST FALLS — Sarah Hines and Rebekah Hines scored four goals each for the Panthers in an Intermountain League win over the Bulldogs at The Fields at Real Life Ministries.
“Grangeville has a few players that quite a bit of speed,” Coeur d’Alene Charter coach Stacy Smith said. “I’m very pleased with how we handled defending those players. We also changed up our formation due to a couple of injuries, so working through that new formation went well for us. We were able to play and move quickly on the ball on the turf and that certainly suited us this evening.”
