The City of Whitefish has created a new notification system that allows for participants to get email or text messages regarding emergencies or city meetings.
The city recently upgraded its website at www.cityofwhitefish.org, and along with that has added a new notification system.
The service allows users to customize the type of alerts they would like to receive from the city. The system, for example, provides notifications related to COVID-19, committee agendas, park updates, road closures and agendas for City Council meetings.
City Manager Dana Smith previously sent out an email once a week, primarily on Fridays, to provide updates from City Hall and agendas for upcoming meetings.
That email will no longer be distributed, but folks can sign up for the new service to receive notifications.
“Since everyone has unique interests, it is our hope that this new system will provide a more targeted and concise communication platform,” she said.
To sign up for notifications from the city visit https://mt-whitefish.civicplus.com/list.aspx.For more information, call City Hall at 863-2400.
