Coronavirus: Eleventh Adams County coronavirus-linked death reported

ADAMS COUNTY — An Adams County resident has died due to complications from the coronavirus, the 11th thus far, Adams County Health Department officials announced Thursday.

The patient, a 63-year-old Ritzville man, died at Holy Family Hospital on Sept. 8, health department officials wrote in a statement. The man had underlying health conditions that increased the risk of severe complications from the virus.

All deaths of Adams County residents that are attributed to coronavirus are verified with the death certificate, laboratory testing and other case information, the health department stated.

On Thursday, 10 new confirmed cases in Othello were reported. Two county residents with coronavirus are hospitalized. The total of cases in the county since the pandemic began was 793. The number of tests done with negative results was 3,236.
