POLSON - Sophomore quarterback Jarrett Wilson threw for 439 yards and five touchdowns and ran for another score Friday to help Polson down Ronan 52-34 in a Northwestern A football game.

Wilson fired TD passes covering 3 yards to Jony Perez and 1 yard and 2 yards to Xavier Fisher as the Pirates (3-1 in league and overall) pulled away from a 28-26 edge in the third quarter. Fisher’s last TD made it 52-28 in the fourth.

Wilson also hit Colton Graham with TD passes covering 35 and 60 yards in the first half; Graham had 12 catches for 246 yards. Wilson completed 28 of 46 passes and was intercepted twice, and ran the ball 17 times for 120 yards.

Still, Ronan (1-3, 1-3) was able to pull to 28-26 on Daniel Kelsch’s 3-yard scoring pass to Daniel Bishop. Kelsch also found Colter Cornwell and Trapper McCallister with touchdown passes covering 13 and 6 yards.

McCallister also ran for a touchdown, as did Kelsch for Ronan..

Eureka 40, Anaconda 7

ANACONDA - Caleb Utter ran for three touchdowns and threw for two scores Friday as Eureka bulldozed Anaconda in a Western B game.

Utter ran eight times for 51 yards and completed 12 of 21 passes for 172 yards for the Lions (2-0 in league, 3-1 overall). He hit Danny Dunn for 28 yards and one score, and hooked up with Gunnar Smith for a 57-yard TD in the third quarter.

Smith ran for 68 yards on 10 carries - including a 61-yard touchdown burst that opened the scoring.

Dunn caught three passes for 66 yards and had seven tackles for a Lions’ defense that limited Anaconda (0-2, 0-3) to 124 yards.
