Coronavirus: New cases in Grant, Adams counties

MOSES LAKE — There were 67 cases of the coronavirus reported in Grant County over the weekend, including new cases in Ephrata, Moses Lake, Royal City, Warden, the Mattawa and Quincy areas, and rural Grant County near Othello, according to Grant County Health District.

The new cases bring the total in Grant County since the pandemic began to 2,869. Of those cases, 1,864 have been reported recovered, the health district reported Monday. The health district considers a person recovered 28 days after receiving positive test results, even if the person is still symptomatic or suffering long-term health effects from COVID-19.

Eleven Grant County residents with the coronavirus are currently hospitalized, the health district reported Monday.

In Adams County, 20 new cases in Othello and two in Ritzville were reported Monday. The county’s total since the pandemic began is 826, with 685 recovered, according to Adams County Health Department information. One patient is hospitalized.
