Lady Loggers sweep Browning in three games

The Lady Loggers pummeled the Browning Indians, winning their Sept. 19 match in three games.

The scores were 25-21, 25-12 and 25-14.

Junior outside hitter Julia Martineau led the Loggers in aces, scoring four out of the team total of 10.

Libby racked up 28 kills, nine of which went to junior right side hitter Ember Rhode. Senior middle hitter Olivia Gilliam-Smith and junior outside hitter Mariah Goucher followed with six and five kills respectively.

Senior setter Laneigha Zeiler landed 24 of the Lady Logger’s 26 assists.

Gilliam-Smith led Libby in blocks taking three out of the team total of six.

Senior defensive specialist Aren James took 22 of Libby’s 53 digs.

The Lady Loggers will go on to play Troy at home on Sept. 22.
